Our leadership brings together diverse expertise from law, public health, media, and finance — united by a deep connection to Agago District and the surrounding region.

Hon. Otto Edward Makmot
Managing Director
A seasoned lawyer, politician, and community development advocate, Hon. Makmot founded Radio Wang Ooh with the mission of giving Agago a strong voice for peace, accountability, and transformation. He brings over 20 years of leadership experience and serves as a guiding force behind the station’s strategy, partnerships, and public impact. As Managing Director, he ensures the station remains rooted in community service, transparency, and growth.

Dr. Josephine Akullo Okwera
Executive Director
A public health expert and academic, Dr. Akullo has spent her career working with marginalized communities in Northern Uganda. She oversees the station’s operational and institutional development, with a focus on gender inclusion, health communication, and education. Her passion for youth empowerment and community healing has helped shape Radio Wang Ooh’s programming and impact beyond broadcasting.e.

Freeman Denish Canogura
Station Manager
A media strategist and award-winning broadcaster, Freeman Canogura is the engine behind the daily running of Radio Wang Ooh. With a background in journalism and radio programming, Freeman manages the station’s staff, content, compliance, and partnerships. He also hosts the popular political talk show “Wi Meca.” Under his leadership, the station has grown in credibility, creativity, and community engagement.
Ms. Akello Ketty Diana
Admin & Finance
Akello Ketty Diana ensures the smooth and accountable financial operations of Radio Wang Ooh. With strong skills in budgeting, procurement, reporting, and administrative coordination, she handles both day-to-day finances and long-term planning. Diana is known for her diligence and integrity, and she plays a critical role in maintaining donor trust, staff welfare, and institutional compliance.
From the mic to the mixer, from headlines to housekeeping , we are united by a purpose: to be the voice of the people and the soul of Agago. Every member of this team plays a part in making that happen.
